The agreement behind the workflow
Clear terms for
the workflow.
These terms explain what Firesio Trade In provides, what the merchant controls, and where the service has clear limits.
Last updated: September 29, 2026
01The agreement
The agreement is between the merchant that installs the app and the Firesio Trade In service operator. The merchant may allow staff to use the app, but it remains responsible for those users, its Shopify account, and the instructions and content it publishes through the workflow.
02What the app does
Firesio Trade In provides a merchant-controlled catalog, customer request form, review workspace, offer and message history, handover tracking, and reward records. Estimates are a starting point. The merchant decides whether to accept an item, what value to offer, how handover works, and when store credit is issued. The launch service does not provide a public marketplace, automatic carrier labels, automatic payouts, or a promise that every request will be accepted.
03Plans, fees, and billing
Plan prices, request limits, billing intervals, and any trial are shown in Shopify before confirmation. Shopify creates and charges the subscription, applies taxes or proration where applicable, and provides the billing record. A plan change takes effect on the date Shopify shows. The merchant can cancel from Shopify; access and retention then follow the cancellation and uninstall behavior described in the app.
04Merchant responsibilities
The merchant must have the right to collect and use the information it submits, publish accurate catalog and trade-in rules, protect staff access, and comply with consumer, privacy, tax, accessibility, and store-credit laws that apply to its business. The merchant must not use the app to process unlawful content, probe another store, bypass plan limits, interfere with the service, or upload information it does not have permission to share.
05Availability and support
We aim to keep the service available and to restore failed background work safely. Availability can be affected by Shopify, Cloudflare, email providers, maintenance, or events outside our control. Support handles setup, configuration, billing questions, and request investigation through the support route. The app does not promise a specific response time or a guaranteed business outcome.
06Warranties and liability
The service is provided as described, without a promise that it will be uninterrupted or fit every merchant process. To the extent permitted by law, implied warranties are excluded. The merchant remains responsible for its offers, customer notices, valuations, taxes, rewards, and legal compliance. Neither party is responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the fees paid for the app during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
07Cancellation and data after uninstall
The merchant can stop using the service by cancelling or uninstalling through Shopify. We may suspend access for security, unlawful use, non-payment, or a material breach. Shopify compliance events initiate deletion of shop-scoped records after uninstall, subject to limited retention required for security, legal obligations, disputes, or accounting. The merchant should export any records it needs before uninstalling.
08Governing law and updates
These terms are published for the current Firesio Trade In service and are not a substitute for a signed enterprise agreement. We may update them when the service or law changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Before production launch, the service operator must add the legal entity and governing-law details required for its operating jurisdiction.
